There are ways you can navigate this situation and still continue to run the game. 

In order to work with this situation, you must first understand how the system works. When a facilitator hosts a game they are accessing the game on their browser but the actual game is hosted on the cloud (on our servers). The little round light on bottom left of the page indicates the status of your connection to the server.


As long as that is green, you (your admin panel) are connected to the server. When you lose internet, your system is no longer connected to the server. But because the game is hosted on the cloud, the game will continue to run for all players who are connected to the server. 


What to do when you lose internet

Our system is designed to resume connection when the internet is restored. When you lose internet connectivity, all you need to do is stay on the respective pages (the admin panel and the dashboard) as long as you do not close or perform any action on these pages, the server will automatically connect back with the dashboard and admin panel to resume interactions where it left off. 


In the event that you close your browser window and are having to start from scratch, the players will continue to be able to play the game but you will not be able to reconnect to the dashboard. This will prevent you from being able to show the dashboard to the players as you were able to before. But the game for the players will still go on. 


Perform a test

In order to be sure on how to navigate through this situation, you can perform a test on your own using the following steps:


1. Start a game and connect player(s) using mobile phone with mobile data (not WIFI)

2. Turn off your WIFI for 2-5 minutes

3. Leave the open game pages running as they were

4. You'll notice that the players are able to play the game normally using their mobile data

5. Turn WIFI back on

6. The system should reconnect
